Who we are

Our non-profit sports club SV Rot-Weiß Viktoria Mitte 08 e.V. was founded in 2008. Today, it already has over 2,700 active members who make use of our diverse sports programme every week. Currently, over 65 teams are being trained, and more than 175 training and course offerings are led each week, primarily by volunteer trainers. We place great importance on the qualifications and further training of all people who work for and with us. The children's and youth departments are particularly important to us.

From the age of just one year, toddlers can start movement training with us. Our football department is at the heart of the club and is already the third largest in the children's and youth sector nationwide. But it's not just children and young people who are supported here; people of all ages can also be active with us. We offer a varied sports programme for all age groups.

Thanks to our geographical location on the border between the former districts of Mitte and Wedding, people from the most diverse countries in the world have found a sporting home in our club. We are proud to be able to unite people from over 85 different cultures within our club. Our voluntary staff members also come from over 30 different nations. Many sporting events and club festivals are not only accessible to members of Viktoria Mitte. Neighbours, friends and people from all over Berlin also have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas here. Understanding others is always a learning success for one's own personality.

The camaraderie on and off the sports grounds is deeply ingrained in our club's philosophy. Our VikiHaus gives us all more space for exactly that. It was opened in 2018 and is a sports and meeting centre, an open house that links health, integration, education and the environment with sport. Implemented by SV Rot-Weiß Viktoria Mitte 08 e.V. with great support from the Brunnenviertel-Ackerstrasse neighbourhood management, our VikiHaus is open to people and initiatives in the neighbourhood. The VikiTreff hosts activities, projects, sports cafés etc. for club members and non-members alike. The VikiBewegungsraum offers sports and health activities, such as back fitness classes, for the surrounding nursery schools, schools and private individuals.
