*<\/b> Basketball is growing at Viktoria Mitte \u2013 both at competitive and grassroots level. In just their second year of league play, our men\u2019s team has already been promoted for the second time. Competing in the District League (Bezirksliga), the team finished in a strong second place with 15 wins and only three losses. Next season they will move up to the State League (Landesliga)\u2014and the Viki basketballers are determined to keep the momentum going.\n\nThis season also saw one of our children\u2019s teams take part in league competition for the first time, with our U11 Minis joining the programme. From our youngest players to our senior teams, this reflects the positive development of basketball at Viktoria Mitte. In just one year, the department has grown from 60 to 260 active players, with our recreational teams continuing to play an important role.\n\nA driving force behind this development is Salam Rubaii, who together with other enthusiasts has helped rebuild and expand basketball at Viktoria Mitte. To keep this growth going, we are looking for more committed and reliable coaches for our children and youth teams. We also welcome parents who would like to get involved, lend a hand and support the programme. In addition, we are looking for basketball referees so that more teams can take part in league competitions.\n\nLet\u2019s make basketball at Viktoria Mitte a lasting success together.
